Which do i buy sc10,hpi blitz or losi strike. Some have better specs than others for example, the sc10 is the most popular but you can't change wheels front to rear to even out tyre wear, hpi 12mm hex all round and cheeper, the losi 12mm hex all round,2.4 ghz radio, threaded shocks, universal shafts.I have a local shop(optimum models in norton canes that i will get discount on hpi losi).Do i run with the crowd and buy sc10 or be different ,tempted with the losi bind and drive as i don't need to buy another 2.4 receiver, servo.Does anyone know were there is any reviews in detail on these trucks other than you tube.many thanks

I WOULD RATHER RACE THAN COOK SUNDAY LUNCH

On the track, the SC10 seems to be quicker to drive than the Slash.

Ive never seen a Blitz or Losi being chucked around, but they look to be designed to be as competitive as the SC10.

With the tyres, if you get a 17mm hex conversion (AKA one) it will mean you can put 8th wheels and tyres on front and rear - same hex on all 4 corners!

Hpi for bashing, associated for the conoisuer racer, Losi for the dipping the toe racer.

Any rtr will be up against it when racing especially against pro kits, so for my money get the SC10 fit the losi xcellorin system (budget system but very good) savox servo and rx bish bash bosh. You got a car thats capable of winning races, the rest is down to you

Thanks for that guys, very tempted to go and have a look at the cars at the shop and compare, will be racing these on grass at the bcl in 2010 so will need a undertray of some sort,I don't plan on racing it seriously as the bcl is mainly nitro and we have all decided to race these for fun as are sport is missing that part of enjoyment.just found out that you must run kit wheels and tyres so really ,hpi 1st if available as non rtr,losi,sc10.

The Losi, from what I’ve read on RC Tech forums (www.rctech.net (http://www.rctech.net/forum/)), is not the best build quality and is currently lunching diffs at quite a rate.

I’ve played with both the SC10 and HPI blitz, and they’re pretty much the same, but I think the Blitz is better thought out in terms of build quality and adjustability. It’s easily right up there with the SC10 on the track (has been doing a lot of winning in the states over the last month or so). With HPI they’ll, hopefully, be a huge range of aftermarket gear too. The only negative points are that it’s only available as a RTR and that the SC10 feels a bit more agile on tighter tracks, so might be more suited to UK racing. With the SC10 you can also save a bit of money and get in kit form, plus it’s established, so there’s quite a knowledge base.

Check out the forums of this website (www.rcshortcourse.com (http://www.rcshortcourse.com/)), lots of knowledge on there.

Kit tyres around Bury Outdoor (Astro) are great, as long as its dry. Can't imagine much working in the wet/damp/moist though.

Thanks for all the help guys,iv'e ordered the sc10 from my local shop on wednesday(kit version)and iv'e ordered some 12mm hexagon conversion from the states from e-bay shop The toyz so you can run other wheels and tyres combo from other cars. The race pedigree and previous ownership of associated cars was the clincher for the decision.
