The two i dont want to go to is tally and coventry. The tracks just arent to the standard of some others imo!

GRIFF55
25-11-2009, 10:30 PM
But coventry has proven itself at eos finals twice and tally is another uk region whos track will improve with every comment heard.
Silverstone has had an eos final too!

Harper adams baby, all the way for indoor dirt in the uk!!!

Do you not remember just how cold that hall used to get???????????????? Crazy fools.

I quite like ben's list actually. A fair spread. Just a shame harper couldnt do a track for us tenth boys, they make such a good effort with the 8th meetings they do.

It'd be ace to goto Harper Adams if a Neo standard track could be built for our little cars :)

I'd like us to goto the same tracks Ben suggested this year, with the exception of Stotfold - me and that track don't get on

You can always come down to Proline Dirt Arena,

Not cold (Danny)
one type of tyre Proline hole shot. (do not have to carry 3 diff types)
Hot food and drinks,
Clay surface that holds up.

Most people go home having enjoyed the day.

next race 6th Dec

Yeah that’s dose look like a good list, Personally id put Taly in – but I wouldn’t know what track to vote off as I do like them all but have to stay true to my Welsh Club.

Southport would be the only one for me I wouldn’t attend just because it’s so far. But I do like the track and the night life and the club do an amazing job as do all who put on national events.

Who ever do get the votes im sure will put in 110% in to every thing

As we all know from the past what ever gets posted from us drivers will upset one club or another , but as we are the drivers who have to race on the tracks clubs have to accept that some people may not like a track for what ever reason.

I like that list to but ide get rid of stotfold and put tally in Really enoyed tally last year second best result of the year. in both classes.

If they did attend to present their case, they would not be allowed to participate in the selection process. Only Committee members are allowed to vote.

My real choice would be

(rather than 6 rounds at Stotfold the best track in the Uk :p)

Southport - Round 2
Oswestry - Round 3
Robin Hood Raceway - Round 1
Stotfold - Round 4
Coventry - Round 6
Eden Park Raceway - Round 5
Talywain - Not for me i am afraid
Kidderminster - Not sure the club have the numbers to run a meeting with out help on the day from racers
Broxtowe - EOS
Silverstone - EOS

You know what ,every one says that but its not my home track 3 other welsh regional tracks are just as close to where I live and I attend 2 of them more than I do Taly

But as I am track designer/ Builder then yeah that’s why I’d like the best of the best in the UK to come down and race on it.

like i said i wouldnt know what track id take out as they are all good in my book

In answer to your question 5900 sq ft.

Straight is 20m long.

we run 8 car finals.

Yes it would be nice to be a lot larger, (working on that at present).

But it is indoor clay warm with a lot of facilitys.

Sort them doubles out on the back straight before the hill then if you haven't done so.:p

God they was hard to sort out in the 809 series we went to there :(

In that event order I think for reasons of weather acceptability rather than anything else.

You're thinking of volume there Carl

20m straight = 65', is there a minimum length for a national?

I might have a wander down one day, indoor dirt = dialled

AS said before we could run an indoor national meeting it is to the rules.

last time I measured the track it was 100m long ish 2.5m wide.

the only people who think it is too small are the people who have not been there.

coolcars782
27-11-2009, 09:10 AM
I think PDA would be a great track for the nationals, it would be the only whole dirt track and offer a conmpletely different type of race.

what would happen with regards to tyres if somewhere like PDA or tiverton got a national? Presumably the rules regarding tyres would have to be changed or is there something in the rules for that already? :o

I guess mini spikes don't go so well on dirt :p

We did have, its coming up 3 years in the spring since we lost it :( but the grass one does the job :D

ashleyb4
27-11-2009, 11:18 PM
The rule isnt we use sch mini spikes and BB spikes everywhere. The tyres are suggested by the venue. Its just all the venue's we raced at last year the best all round tyres where the same. So say PDA etc would say something like Proline Bow ties work best or something. But it would also be very unlikely that any of the dirt track's got national because the venue's have to apply for a national and none of the dirt tracks have applied see northy's list.

Does a national have to be outdoors?

IceMike
27-11-2009, 11:32 PM
From past years and thing i would say there is no rule saying it has to be outside, there is no rule saying it has to be on grass or astro or the surface at all really, would be rather kewl if someone won the lottery and created the most random of national tracks ever with some far fetched material
