Just curious to see what turn motor most people are running in their SC trucks (for racing, not just bashing).

I noticed that stateside they seem to run some fairly mild motors - from 10.5T up to 17.5T brushless setups.

What are the guys over here running?

I was thinking of trying an 8.5T or 6.5T, although I'm thinking the 8.5T will be more driveable.

So who's running what?

LRP X11 in 10.5 flavour, because the series I run my SC10 in has a 10.5 limit. Its perfect because its just a fraction too much power for the tyres to handle, so drive at 90% and you're fine, push to 100% and it turns into a snarling hooligan machine.

It really teaches you how and when to crack on during the lap before biting you in the arse.

What Garry said, except Tekin and Speed Passion 10.5s in mine. I’ve heard very good things about Tekin’s 9.5 in SC trucks too. Enough power to be fun, but not so much that it distracts from enjoying the "handling".

Think I'll shy away from the 6.5T for now then.

I'll try the 8.5T (as I have one spare), but if it's too much of a handful I'll aquire a 10.5.

Thanks for the info.

10.5T is a good choice. I race mine at the Bury indoor with one and it seems spot on, put it this way Chris (awesome driver) was running a 6.5T in his last week and I think it slowed him down rather then let him cruise around easily like you can with a 10.5
