View Full Version : Question about double slipper clutch for durga(DaveG28 and others)
Hey DaveG28
Read through your thread concerning this hop-up parts but you never gave your final impressions.
So is it a worthy upgrade?
I think it is, it does make the car a little more settled, when landing off a jump.

Good timing as I finally did a meeting with it in yesterday, had never got round to using it in anger!
Although I didn't do a back to back DCM is right, it felt more settled landing from jumps, especially on high grip and/or where you land on the downramp. Someone can correct me if I am wrong on the technical bit but I think it's because as the first wheels land and grip they slip relative to the other wheels, I found this removed a problem I've had where the fronts land and grab, sending me out of control! It probably helps me more as I usually tend to run slippers very tight so get that grabbing problem!
Anyway, I'd definitely recommend it!
Dave is right, the front half of the transmission can slip seperately to the rear, so if one set is fully loaded, you can get that axle to slip a little, calming things down.
super gripper

I have been wondering if this double slipper any good so it is good to read what someone actually using one has to say.
I have been racing my DB01 since it was released so its been a while, it has been upgraided over time to now be a higher spec than the recently released DB01R.
The double slipper has been something I have been considering for a while now, my car is pretty much set up how I want it.
I use a front oneway which improves the way the car drives massively but lose the tiny amount of slip a diff provides on the front.
The standard slipper clutch is very good and I have two DB01's so it would be a double expence as the second car is my back up. I will see.
Thank you DaveG28 for your input
also thanks to everyone else that replied
I going to try it out
