So who has a SC truck for the next meeting (24th Jan)?

I know there's 17 people booked in trucks, but interested to see how many are SC trucks and not 1/8 scales and 'normal' trucks.

Last time there were 17 in trucks and the breakdown was:

4 normal trucks (Chris, John, Steve and myself)
2 1/8ths
1 Slash
10 SC10's

Well sort of, Clare swapped her SC10 for a 1/8th and someone broke their SC10 and had to use a Mini E-Revo.

This time I think we have a couple more 1/8ths, and no Slash. And I think there are only 16 as I believe Andy has sold both his trucks......

And I might be running SC if I finish my RC10T/SC conversion in time.

My question is how are you going to run the shop if you are racing in 3 classes?

You could sell the SC10 as run once.....

Me too Johnny. I'm going to decide on the day between Soda (fast but fragile) or RC10T (tank) based on whats in our heat!

Its just a 2wd buggy with a very long chassis and a truck shell on. So like a Stadium Truck, but even longer and with the wheel enclosed.

That's why Sandra comes with me. :D She's not impressed though - I can't imagine why :eh?:

How come your getting rid of the SC10 Andy? You only got it for Christmas didn't you?

I'm looking forward to running the truck. Really need to put a slower motor in it, but at least I can give it a better test now the snows gone.

How come your getting rid of the SC10 Andy?

I`m now the owner of a TRF501X and my passions with 4WD, even tho the truck class is piss funny can`t afford to kit out everything, but i can see my SC10 just getting shelved tho not sold but we`ll see.

Slap an ezrun in it, get a spare receiver for either of your current radios and you are done. Doesn't need a fancy motor - my truck is going better with a the 9T than the 7.5!

Just seen this thread!! I'm hoping to run the Micro around inbetween qualifying finals for agiggle if Stu & Rog let me.

Doing 2 and 4wd already so would be a push to run the micro in the truck heat!!

I think we had 4 1/8ths, though 1 switched to an SC10, 2 regular trucks plus my 4wd mutant, a couple of Blitzes and about 8 SC10's.

The 1/8ths pretty much dominate in terms of times, followed by the SC10's

My Blitz came 5th (after a last lap mid air collision over the tabletop to let Chris sneak through for 4th). My Blitz and Chris's SC10 seemed pretty well matched all day. Not sure what position the other Blitz came in, but I know it was box stock (even the motor and esc).

The Blitz I was running has an electronics package dropped in, bearings in the steering rack and that's it. For an out-the-box setup it was awesome - and it seemed better in the final when I dropped the brakes down (the 1st corner was a bit hairy before that - hitting brakes half way down the straight caused the rears to lockup, kick slightly left - then I had to power on for a massive slide around the 1st corner - worked (and looked) great until halfway through the round when the tires heated up enough to start grip rolling.

I think the top 3 were all the 1/8ths.

It was awesome fun running the Blitz. Highly recommend SC to anyone and everyone

I should have a couple of videos to post later.

Yesterday's track was really good for the SC's I think. You could really flow around the track and get all the jumps spot on. Shame there are not more 1/8ths so that SC's and 1/8 could be split up.

A lot of this is down to me not knowing who races what.

Yeah unless its stated which you are driving I know it'll be hard to set it up, just speaking my mind that's all, with 4 1/8ths at the last race it's not going to happen I know.

Ry or Dave - Are you going to be getting the Hong Nor SRT10 in stock soon cos I really want one. All the features I want in a truck (alloy chassis and 4wd) under a short course shell.
Kinda goes against the grain for me to buy a new car instead of using some dinosaur but it really looks awesome
Let me know if you get one in....

Si it'll be either the Hong Nor or the HoBao, I need to compare the two and get whatever's best out of the box for the money. Can always order them in for you, email us and I'll get back with a quote.

I'm hoping that we get some more SC's in time for summer, they could be good fun outdoors.
