Novak's NEW system? As in the HV Pro? Hardly new - unless they've just pulled something out without anyone knowing?

The HV Pro is old tech - superseeded by the superior Tekin RX8 and Castle MMM - which can be had for similar prices.

It can only run 4S max - which may or may not be an issue to you. Also, as far as I know, the BEC is a bit iffy with voltages over 2S LiPo.

The Castle, Hobbywing, or Tekin would serve you better.

LOL ya the novak was my first system and it stunk. It was fast but over heated alot and fans broke left and right. It would be neat if they updated it.

I had the Novak and it melted. The BEC is useless and the technology used is very old and cannot withstand the demands of todays 1/8th scale requirements.

I am glad you find it good inbar, but myself and alot of others just did not enjoy the way it is so picky when running and the motors are a little small and the system usually needs a separate BEC. In fact I had a couple of external BEC's but found the Novak to not like them so had to run and external NiMH pack.

Well, you are an exception to the rule man. I think since your Truggy that helps too. Most of us with buggies that do alot of chassis slamming and dont have big cushy tires to absorb alot of the rigors of off-road suffered the most from broken fans. But in the end I just like a system that doesnt need fans at all and my Tekin is great for that even in hot south Texas. But Israel is worse for heat thats surprising to hear you've had such good luck. Must be the holy land or something lol. Shalom.:D

It's a great idea actually.

The only 'new stuff' that I've heard that is coming from Novak regarding 1/8th are 550 size Ballistic-style motors - which isn't much to get that excited about. Guess we'll have to see if there's more than that though - Nuremberg isn't far...
