So was wondering how many lipo packs would i need in a race day? Is it true you don't have to wait for it to cool down before re-charging?
I want to buy the peak racing or team orion carbon fibre 3200 pack. and my turn around time between heats is the usualy 40minutes.
I run in 4wd mod and would use around 2800mah in the 5minute heat, so i assume the 3200 pack would only last 1 heat, and would need to be topped up before the next heat.
would i be able to just buy 1 pack or will the slower charging rate for lipo's require me to have 2 or 3 packs?
thanks

I would have thought two packs would be enough alternating charging while racing. But im no expert.
or get a higher capacity one, you can charge well before race day so pre charging saves time also :)

you are better to let them cool before recharging, as above buy a trakpower and get more capacity!

I use the trakpower in my B4 and i only need the one pack for the whole day. Charge it sometime before, race, then leave it to cool while i marshall, then stick it back on charge. I use the inline balancer to makesure everythings fine while charging, and thats it.
No faffing with equalizers and charging at the right time etc.
Takes about an hour to fully charge it at 5amps. or about 30mins to top up from half.
