have a look at www.rcbearings.co.uk (http://www.rcbearings.co.uk).
For the money, they are worth at least trying
If the Durango isnt listed, Colin will make a set up for you

This sounds like a stupid question but whats the difference between rubber sealed and metal sealed bearings??
This sounds like a stupid question but whats the difference between rubber sealed and metal sealed bearings??
i think rubber are used in dirty conditions,ie off road and metal are for indoor or on road, also i think metal are smoother running than rubber

I have used answer rc clutch bearings which have the best of both world having one metal and one rubber shield. I just point the rubber shield to the elements to keep the dirt out. Plus it looks a bit bling when people see red bits around the axles on the car. Sad I know

Great stuff at RCBearings.
So, rubber shield is it supposed to be use when you race in a dirt track?
I thought the metal shielded bearings offers you more protection about getting dirt into the balls.
Is it any difference in using one on another?
;)

I have some 5x10x4 rubber sealed bearings on my website, they're our own brand Blue Lightning, but i'll put some bulk packs on later this afternoon. 10pcs for £5.99. We get alot of local rally x drivers using them because of there durability and high quality.
We have also started stocking TD spares and are gradually putting them online.
I can also make up DEX410 Bearing Kits.

Shouldn't be as it's calculated by weight. I think you could have the courier service selected (default as it's the newest postage price i put on) which is suitable for anything upto 25kg and not just 30g
Select a different postage method such as 1st class royal mail £1.45, 2nd class royal mail £0.95.
thanks thought that must be wrong will give it another go.
cheers

Website only been in it's "newest" form for the past 5 months and with 3,000 different products to add it's a daunting task with running a shop aswell. If there's any bits people wish to see on there please ask.
Thanks for pointing out the postage errors and i'll have a look and hopefully fix the default to 1st class tomorrow.

For buggies then rubber seals are best to use as they're normally subjected to dirt, water or both. Some kits use a mix of full rubber sealed and half rubber half metal sheild. The benifit to being fully sealed is that the lubrication stays in but also marginally increase friction.
Our kits use a mix. We have full rubber sealed wheel bearings/drive pinion bearings and the larger diff bearings are half sealed.
I think our kits are very well priced and high quality.

Never hurts to have a few spare bearings, and at least the Durango ones are nice and cheap £4ish for a pack of four:thumbsup:
That reminds me, I must take mine out and oil them after a wet and snowy Stotfold today, or I will be having problems with them:D

Our bearings are Blue Lightning bearings which are new and imported by radio racers.
At the moment we mainly do rally x kits online but trying to get all the 1/10th electric online. We already have kits for the b4 b44 x6 squared dex410 etc.
They're very well price and trade applications are welcome from
shops wishing to sell them. We are looking to expand this range for 100's cars and also screw kits.
Available at www.radio-racers.co.uk with all kits being
added in the next week.
