Hi guys

Had a crazy idea of doing 1/8th electric for my local 1/8th track but looking at something relatively easy on the wallet to get me going. So was looking at the LRP Spx8e RTR.

Does anyone have any experience with these?

Thanks in advance for any info:thumbsup:

They are only just out, so I doubt there'll be much in depth info on it at the moment.

It uses their SPX8 ESC and equivalent motor, so look at these threads for info on those:
-Clicky (http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39963)
-Clicky (http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric-off-road/341110-lrp-spx-8-vector-8-a.html)

Not that much info on the ESC really, but in my opinion, there is far better out there, and cheaper.

Plenty of reviews around for the S8BX, and the radio equipment, by the sounds of things, you'll swap out anyway.

Ok, thanks

It seems the LRP is getting a lot of stick, not cos the car but because of the way the speedo appears to drain one pack more than the other, and the way the speedo is mounted too. Was reading the team car review in rRC this month, where they used similar gear.

Looked like Tel was confused by the cell drain thing too.

I may have to look elsewhere then:blush:
