I was reading the BRCA list today on approved motors and one thing that spung to mind is the fact there is fapping loads of them....Led me to wonder just what is the difference between them. Appreciate some have lay down brushes, v2 end bells etc but is there any real performance difference from one 19 turn motor and another?

Are certain types of 19 turn more suited to particular types of racing so there is a need for a wide range?

if there was only one motor r&d would grind to a halt, why bother being faster when everyone has to buy your motors anyway and even if they did get faster, everyone would go faster by just as much as you.

Control tyres work pretty well but when was the last time we saw anything new on the tyre front widely used? I think schumacher mini spikes were control tyres when i left rc over 2 years ago :p

There is not as much difference between the 19's on the list as there is on the 27's.

There are only two factories that make the cans and arms, one makes the Trinity/EPIC motors, the other makes all the others.

The arms are pretty similar as the rules restrict too many differences.

Biggest difference is the endbells. Round brush ones don't create quite as much power but are lower maintenance.

I don't honestly think there is a bad 19T out there right now, they will all go pretty well.
