I know the weather doesn't look good at the moment, but we can but hope. I hope to be there, and i'm bringing a newbie along too.

Indeed fingers crossed for the weather not being too bad. I may have to get the B4 running or borrow Steve's as the Cat SX is off to EPR on the 7th pending the weather (yet more set-ups and tyre changes).

I'm in, as long as it's not like a boating lake! Mike any news on BRCA memberships, think i will need mine to be able to go to EPR

Cheers

Weather isn't looking good at all and even if it doesn't rain the ground will be super saturated :(

I'm thinking of getting a radio controlled hovercraft, or amphibious vehicle. Then i can race whatever the weather.

Thats why I have a touring car in the making, racing at Newbury on a Friday evening.

I reckon if there is no more rain we might get away with it. We have raced in pretty wet conditions before!

It is forecast to be very wet with a heavy rain storm moving in from the west.

Your right we have raced in wet weather before but it is getting very boring now.

People going home cos of thier electrics.
cleaning the car with a deep strip every week does not do it any good.
my bearings are shot.
and cleaning grime and rabbit poo off my car after every round takes all the fun from racing.
and taking half the pitting area home on my boots every week.

I will wait til it drys up ta....

Fair enough mate, each of us can make the decision.

Have to say some of your comments will not encourage new members. Mud in pit etc. As you are aware this is being looked into by Mike, Steve , Jullian etc, but is no way a show stopper

We are in the process of changing things. If you go to other tracks around the country in the winter I'm sure they have electrical problems too due to wet running?

I'd love to be able to fix everything overnight, but some of us don't have enough time or money so we do what we can.

There are plans a foot in order to improve things further.

I race in the wet and clean afterwards, not a problem and I'm still on the orignal bearings from when I got the car. At the end of the day each to their own..

Winter racing is always tuff and TORCH comes into it's own during spring / summer and autumn

All I ask is for people to come racing and enjoy it. When we get an all day meeting penciled into the calender I would hope the regulars can make it so we have a great day!

Perhaps we should all move to Dubai and start a track there???

Didn't mean to sound negative there chaps, just thinking out loud. I do enjoy the racing at TORCH.

Just frustraighted I suppose with the weather.

Try velcro and bluetak!!! I raced last Sunday at Stotfold and when the snow melted it was wet!!! The Cat was very dry with the undertray, velcro-ed on, bluetak over the holes and an old foam insert cut into a piece and carefully placed at the front of the car!!!

So the weather is looking pretty grim for the next 12-24hrs:cry:. Is a decision going to be made before tomorrow as to whether we race or not? The d4 is in bit and i can't be bothered to sort it if we aren't racing;)
