Thanks to everyone that turned out today for the first out-door race of the season.

I hope that everyone enjoyed the new layout, different from last year. Hopefully this layout will provide a couple of months of close and fair racing.

A few things need to be sorted out for the race season.

We need to know what day suits for regular racing, and what time (start / finish.)
The gates of the park open at 10am (ish). So how does a 10.30 arrival track-side suit everyone?

And the last thing, next week-end is Easter, will people be available for racing, if so what day.

MiCk B. :-)

I would love to get down for some practice but i'll be working saturdays so it would have to be sundays for me to have any chance of getting down the occasional meet!

Hi MICK,

You know my preference, but just so everyone does;
Sundays from 10.30am would be preferable.

Also, I think I can speak for Brian MacManus who usually works on Saturdays, that Sunday would suit him best as well.

As for Easter, I'm in Galway for the weekend until Sunday afternoon - so I may appear briefly on my way home but won't be racing. I could race/practice on Bank Holiday Monday........

MOLE2K - we're hoping that a few of you from the North will come down on Sunday 25th April for a race day. Our facility in Lucan is developing nicely and you'd be very welcome.

Just another comment whilst I think of it;

It would appear that racing buggies over the winter has had a very good effect on the standard of racing in the club. There were nine competitors out yesterday and there was not one who didn't get around the track in a reasonable fashion. Sometimes the first raceday back outdoors after racing touring cars all winter can be difficult as the driving styles are so different - good effort by all.

It makes no difference to me which day you choose for regular racing. However for the easter weekend I can not race on the sunday but can race all day saturday.

I've added it to the Diary, I'll see if I can gather up much interest :thumbsup:

Got any pics of the new layout yet ?

Sunday suits me better at the moment as I will be working Saturdays for the next few months, after that it might be a bit hit and miss for me.

Not sure if I will be free this Sunday, but I hope I will, tho my grass tires are currently foam-less :thumbdown:
