OK, the cell usage was not discussed at the AGM, race format and length was.
If you want to start quoting in the 8-10 thread, that these rules were done for the WRCA to, then incorrect, I have the notes here, that were handed to me, by Hywel a couple of days after, as I couldn't make that meeting.
Now, as I understand it, Hywel wanted Hard Cased all the way, some of you wanted soft, so a compromise of a tough case, fixed to the chassis of your 1/8th car, which would encompass your cell. I have already discussed this, this evening with Hywel, and he has confirmed that that was what was agreed.
I am not being negative, I am reiterating what the notes have said. Just because maybe you are interprating the rules differently is your issue, not the WRCA's.
I do have a little bit of knowledge in this area.

plasticard is not a 'hardcase', LiPo's are encased in ABS or similar.

He is the treasurer, as to why he ordered something that you will have to glue together and have no structural integrity, I don't know.

To bring this to an end!!! We will cut our losses on the plastic sheets already purchased!
How about these sheets?????

they are made with ABS!!!

Why make one, when you can buy one?

rather than have all that needless guff, wouldnt it have been easier all round if you just posted that link over an hour ago?
dont like the colour of it anyway, it would clash with my anodised countersunk washers....again purchased from Mr Knight (other model suppliers are available:lol:)
I will be returning my plasticard to Mr Knight 1st thing tomorrow!! and demanding my 94 pence be refunded immediately!!
...if its not good enough for DCM it aint good enough for me
I didn't post the link cause I thought I was dealing with educated guys...... but then you are nitro buddies, so I would blame it on the fumes!! :woot:

you didnt post the link because you wanted to take to the stage & boy didnt you!!
yes we are nitro buddies, and from what i could see at the WRCA meetings it was 'nitro buddies' & certainly not 'electric buddies' that showed any concern regarding what the WRCA are doing this year.....so i say be thankful for the fume affected 'nitro buddies'.

Finaly are we happy!!!!!!
So the WRCA (that being you DCM) are happy for us to run Maplins plastic tubs!!!!
Trust the Welsh to be difficult!!!:D:D
Just spoke to Hywel, and yes, those cases from Maplins, we would be happy with, and they even come with screw on lids to make them fully encased.
I like to think us Welsh as thorough rather than difficult :woot:

Guys the final decision will be done by club committee, as even if WRCA allows soft cell lipos encased, if a club's local rule states hardcase only then the local rule applies.

Thorough !!!!!!! I now understand why you have 5654 posts!!!
In future please attend the meetings or make sure they are on dates you can make..
It will save a lot of hassle!
After all it's your WRCA
PS. I run hardcase lipo's anyway just like a discussion!!! :p

Any idea anyone?
10th rules will be as per the BRCA.
8th Nitro will be as per the BRCA.
8th electric will be construction as the BRCA, the lipo mounting as dicussed here, 6S max and reverse MUST be disabled.

Just like to say well done to DCM (Steve c Rich ) i believe, for instigating the kiss of death to 1/8th electric at the WRCA rounds. we had set the rules but no you had to go & poke your nose in & i believe contact the BRCA...pathetic!!

beg your pardon?? what has the BRCA got to do with 8th electric, I for one have far more important things to be doing than contacting the 'BRCA', so I suggest you get your facts STRAIGHT before you start trying to tar people....
