TD:
Following yesterday’s pictures of Gerd with his test DNX408, we thought you’d like to see some pictures of Adam’s test car. Adam is the Team Manager for Team Durango UK and he has been putting a lot of time in recently testing the DNX408. He is very happy with the car’s performance so far.
This weekend, four test cars will be seen in public for the first time. As we are still testing the car, we have no expectations about making the A-main at all -we are simply testing, testing, testing and putting as many miles on the car as we can to iron-out any remaining issues before we move into production.

OOOOHHHHHH!
First nitrocar ever to look sooo good! So it can be done. A nice looking buggy that also looks unique without the shell on.
Makes me want to go nitro for the first time.
Well Done TD and Adam:thumbsup:

It looks amazing guys, good work! Ground breaking and revolutionary, as it ought to be.
Good look for the Neo Adam, by the looks of it, and excellent choice of engine, you just need to point it in the right direction and you'll do well!

Perfect, just in time for the nitro buggy fad to disappear and go away.

Nitro has been around forever, but it has always been niche. With space an issue, and the smell and noise always a problem, there will be fewer and fewer places to race. And with the boom in 1/8th electric rising (which is ironically spawned by the fact that 1/8th nitro tracks are not 1/10th electric-friendly), the numbers of nitro car is diminishing. It's a fad, like anything else in the R/C world. It will soon go back to being a niche class like it was before.
How very German of Durango to recognize a trend on the downside and then react after everyone else already did (see Volkswagen). I mean, after Associated releases a car for a given class, the writing is already on the wall, right? ;)
Nothing against Durango as this looks like a great buggy—and I someday will definitely own a DEX410—but it seems like an odd basket to drop your eggs, so to speak.
Maybe a 1/8th electric will soon follow.

I disagree there... Nitro 1/8th Buggy.. is what most-Would be the pinnacle rc racing class.. around.. I don't see nitro moving anywhere backwards tbh.. very slowly if it does.. but 1/8th Leccy will SLOWLY increase.. but for alot of people the £ and effort going into getting or converting a nitro 1/8th is a pain in the rear. And there isnt a great deal selection wize in the 1/8th leccy elecs side.. Tekin, losi MMM and maybe 1 too other's. With the prices of motor's and esc.. they need to get the long term durability side down before people will spend £500+ on a setup.. IMHO... there are still issues.. in that side of the market.. that need to be worked out before we start seeing 1/8th leccy have numbers to even consider a class tbh...

We'll see. The UK is still 2-3 years behind the US in the 1/8th buggy trend, and we're already starting to see a decline—at least in this area. With the economy the way it is, and people being more careful with their leisure dollars, it's an uphill climb to spend $1500+ on a toy race car. I hope this proves wrong for Durango's sake, but I've seen enough trends rise and fall in the last 27-odd years of playing with these things to know the ups and downs.
But I digress, this issue is neither here nor there to this thread topic.
Good luck to Durango with this car. It looks like a winner.

Don't believe everything Tony Bolwell tells you:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
A lot of RX drivers are RC snobs, if it aint nitro RX, they don't like it, how's that for a debate:thumbsup:.
Nice car though Durango:thumbsup:

Well, thats my own opinion.. I have tried most forms of racing.. On-road for a tad.. leccy off-road-Still do and 1/8th nitro.. .. everyone will have there own views.. but Im not sure you can say X is ... or ect.. it all fluctuates..
All leccy guys will say 1/10th is the top class.. nitro will say 1/8th...
I personally don't see 1/8th nitro dying down anytime soon tbh.. but then I don't see Leccy going massive anytime soon either-1/8th im on about..
Its all personal views.. but the statement the chap made was very-This is.. this... is ... ect
And I can say same about 1/10th offroads drivers ect being snobs.. Well all classes for that matter.. each to there own.. its a never ending debate..
