Hi Guys,

This ones aimed at a few of you guys who spray regulary and post your work on here.. I've seen some really good looking work on here by the way  Have any of you had experience using Createx Autoair paints?

I've been using Pactra for years and finding that the range of solvent based paints has not been developed for some time so I'm looking for alternatives..

I'm fully aware of the Faskolor offering but thought i'd put the question out there to see if you guys use Createx & to see what you're experiences of using the stuff are..

I've used createx paints for years - I thought the faskolor was re-branded createx also?
I've not used the autoair stuff tho - that's different type of paint isn't it? made for full sized cars? I wonder if it's flexible enough?

i use autoair createx and faskolor all basically the same stuff, and treat it the same thin with auto air 4011 reducer, warm shell before you try to paint it using water based paints, and add the first two coats very very lightly or it will spider or bead up.

im pretty sure createx and auto air are the same company. ive also heard that faskolor is rebranded createx basically. dont hold me to that though.

ive used/use all three to good effect. although i save my auto air for non rc stuff. when i get the time to do non rc styuff that is. haha

i used to use faskolor for rc but have now switched to createx as its cheaper.

Cools! There's some nice colours in the auto-air range - pretty hard to find in small bottles over here tho. The importer wasn't much help - I might have a look on t'ebay some time.
I got my createx airbrush paints when I went to canada a few years ago - I don't think its sold in the UK anymore? at least thats what the local art shop said.

I really like the spazstix paints - tiny bottles that don't last long tho, but very nice.

get all mine from everything airbrush.com and find these 4oz bottles much better last longer to CLICKY (http://everythingairbrush.com/acatalog/copy_of_Individual_Colours_120ml__4oz_.html)

O JIMMY THE TAMIYA THINNER YOU LOVE? the 4011 reducer is just as good if not better
they do createx as well

I think Parma buy the paint in bulk from the same place Createx comes from.

Thanks for all the input guys, greatly appreciated :)
Going to be doing the switch once i've thinned down all the pactra i've accumulated over the past few years, but there's plenty of pointers given which will make like easier...

One thing though, when it comes to spraying acrylic what PSI do you guys spray out at?

simple answer..spray at whatever pressure works for you, your gun, tank, paint, paint thinning ratio, temperature, conditions.

Depends totally on how much you've thinned down the paint. I use anything from 15 to 50psi.

Tel / Carl etc. I have been using the airborne range recently and have found it clogs a little less than autoair etc. (though the colours aren't quite as rich) Also the airbrush restorer is well worth getting, soak all the airbrush parts in it for an hour after you use the brush and it comes out gleaming. Don't leave it in too long though as it strips the chrome plating off
