The only 12mm hex wheels I'm familiar with are the Kyoshos and the Tamiyas. I've tested the Tamiya's from my Top Force and although the hexes fit the offset is different so they will not work on the ZX-5.

I found with tamiya wheels that the fronts fit but there is something in the region of a five mm' offset my kyosho would of failed on overall width because of it.Academy front wheels also fit but the rears have webs in them that hit the kyosho rear arms HTH

Bringing the post to top.
Im looking for onroadwheels for my ZX-5. Grooved tyres and fitting rims.
Has somebody a hint which tyres will fit on the original kyosho rims?
I would prefer a rim/tyre combination that fits (maybe with a adapter unit)
Try Ciclone wheels. They are cheaper and lighter than originals.

Thanks, but I can't find any.
Do you have a link where to get these wheels.
You can find that offroad wheels at www.modelspain.com (http://www.modelspain.com), or asking for them to modelspain@modelspain.com

The Shumacher CAT2000 wheels have the same offset, but a different hex.
I would be forever in dept to the guy that would make Schumacher size hexes for the Lazer, since I have some 100 pairs of those collecting dust. :(

I have about 7 sets of Losi xxx4 wheels. Would these fit or should I sell em off?

And Ballistic Buggy wheels according to the write up in one of the mags.
And JC (Fastrax?) 5 spoke in white or yellow. I have white and they look real nice!

CML I read is the main distributer of Fastrax wheels etc so I guess you can get the 5 spoke from here.

Good news for all former Schumacher drivers..
If you want to use Schumacher CAT2000/3000 wheels on your ZX5, a friend of my can make these in machined alloy on a CNC machine.
The front adapter is a bit narrower than the rears.

I have tried the rims to Thunder Tiger SSB
http://img123.imageshack.us/img123/457/thumb23pd03327dk.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
the only thing about these rims is that the hex is a bit to deep, easily fixed using a flatwasher as a shim.
The price in Sweden for these is 8,59€ / 5,62£ / 11,19$ for all four wheels.
However i do prefer the "brighter" colour of the Kyo-rims over the paler (spelling?) TT rims.
