How are you all securing the batteries in your conversions ? I'm struggling to find a stable place to fit a battery tray into the Hyper ST. I'm using 2x 2S packs at the moment but will eventually get a bigger lipo (5S/6S)

I have a battery tray from rc-monster and i'm scratching my head as to the best way of mounting it to the chassis securely.

Can anyone post a pic of a similar setup (even if it's just one single pack) ?

Hi look at the 1/8 electric pic thread you might get a idea from that.

sorry, should have been a bit more clear, I know where the batteries are going, it's more of how is the tray itself mounted ? screws, glue, velcro etc

ok, so potentially will have to drill holes in the chassis then ? (hyper ST with a rc-monster battery tray)

cheers

I had a similar problem with my hyper 7. I went to wilko, bought a cheap plastic chopping board (less than £1)

A few paper templates made until I got it right. Cut and drilled the chopping board. Battery tray bolted to my plastic plate, plastic plate bolted to chassis.

No new holes drilled on the chassis
