Following on from a thread in the Jarrow section, as a club we are looking at investing in a permanent indoor track facility, along the same lines as what Teesside had.

Before we as a club can go forward we need to see what sort of support there would be for such a venture,

As for racing times etc there all still to be decided but more than likely it would be club racing one night midweek and some sort of series/championship one sunday per month for 1/10th buggies and touring cars (each class would have it's own dedicated track)

When there's no championship on a sunday it would be open for club racing to 1/8th electric and nitro(the building we are presently looking at has full extraction facilities) and a 1/8th championship would be run monthly.

There would also be practice/bash days in there, obviously these days would have to work around other race meets.

If you would consider travelling to such a venue leave a post on here also stating what you'd be most interested in, either 1/10th buggy, 1/10th touring, 1/8th etc and also wether it would be club racing or the series/championship that you would be most interested in.

If you would like to get an idea on size of building and it's location there's some pictures in the Jarrow club section.

Thanks

Peter

We plan to have a meeting to discuss the new venue. This will be held at the venue, so everyone has a chance to have a good nosey round.

Meeting will be on Wednesday 19th May, 7.30pm

All are welcome, if you know anyone from whatever class of racing 1/10th Off-road, On-Road or 1/8th who may be interested then drag them along.

See you there

Here is Peter's post on MaxBashing to invite the 1/8th Lads

I know this may be short notice but we are going to have a meeting at the new venue this Wednesday evening at 7.30pm.
Basically we need to see what interest there is from people and also to let everyone see what it’s like inside.

The link below goes to a google map with the venue shown on it,

Click Here (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=117432903097510285403.000486ceffb389ed1e090&ll=54.864327,-1.478305&spn=0.006817,0.022198&t=h&z=17)

We’d appreciate it if people can make the effort to come along and show there support, for this venture.

Thanks

Peter
