I think this (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=003&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=130133294558&rd=1&rd=1) is an optima mid. £20+£10 postage with no bids at the moment and only 25 minutes to go.

Nothing to do with me, and if I could justify the £30 I'd have a bid myself, but I've got an original optima to restore before I spend any money on another project.

Nope, it's a Kyosho Lazer ZX-Sport. A bargain basement version of the Lazer. Similar to the Lazer ZX but everything expensive has been removed. Plastic chassis and top deck flexes way too much, plastic shocks have too hard springs and the one piece plastic layshaft doesn't have the one way clutch in it which is in every other car in the range.

Useful as a source of spares if you already have a Lazer, I have one in my collection (no surprise there) http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=36138&id=297
and it tends to get the occasional run where I would not use my other cars (such as long jump competitions! http://www.tamiyaclub.com/getuserimage.asp?t=&id=img3836_19042006151807_6.jpg )

So probably not worth the £30 then (hence no bids I guess).

No, not really, mine cost me all of £10 as part of a job lot:D. Looks to have a decent set of Kyosho H pattern tyres on it though but don't think I would pay £30 for a used set of tyres.

Especially as you can still buy those H pattern tyres new :(
