Hi!

Wondering of buying a new radio. Have looked and asked a little around about the sanwa/artronics m11 and m11x.
Is the m11x worth the extra money, or will the m11 still be good?
The thing about the m11 is that it is compatible with spektrum module, and I can therefore use my old spektrum receivers.

I tried a good old m8 at the warm up last weekend, and I think that felt very good!

Have also looked at the new ko propo Eurus. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the help :)

Andreas

If you are about to get a new one I would absolutely go for the M11X. Less weight and built in module. No extra antenna. It is a faster system overall.
Biggest plus is the fact that you can use a 2s lipopack instead of 6 (not 8 as in M11) rechargeable batteries.
The Rx can handle highvoltage servos without a voltage regulator too. In case you run it in a nitrocar.

If you've got a bunch Spektrum receivers already I'd go for the M11 with the spektrum module. You ought to be able to pick up an M11 for a decent rate as it is the "old" model.

They are both very capable radios and if you can live with the weight of the M11 it really is a fine piece of kit. I've got one and use it with a Spektrum module and it has never let me down. You can stick virtually any small 3S lipo into it to reduce the weight if you want to as well. I use a 1450mah 3S lipo in mine. It weighs a bit less and still last me a good 5-7 hours on one charge.

I have two receivers. I see that the Sanwa/Airtronics receivers are quite expensive. But if I could choose I do think the M11x looks very neat.

Do you need a voltage regulator when installing 3s lipo?

I need to check some prices at ebay, might find some used Sanwa receivers.. :)
By the way, is it any good british online stores that sell Sanwa/Airtronics?

I don't use a voltage regulator for the 3S in my M11.

As for shops I live in Germany :D

I think I will go for the m11. If I just bling it up with a upgrade rc skin, and buy a lipo battery I think it's a winner :)
At least an huge upgrade from my old hitec crx
