had a maxxum, dont put too much power in, it will just wheelspin it away. moved the battery further forward on mine which helped a bit. was great fun on a high grip track and useless on low grip due to wheelspin enduced understeer. also thick grease in the diff to make it quite stiff worked well, mine had mugen diff grease in.

One of my pals ran one of these in the day for a bit, and they were a nice piece of kit, but as the previous post, probably not worth going for anything quicker than stock class motor, maybe a 10.5 or something, because I doubt you'll get the power down, be a laugh trying though and that's what it's all about.

Johnny - You still got a sensorless system kicking about, Ezrun or something like that? If so that, and ones of the finned type motors in 10 (http://www.giantcod.co.uk/ezrun-3900kv-bushless-motor-p-403298.html)or 12T (http://www.giantcod.co.uk/ezrun-3300kv-bushless-motor-p-403300.html) would be ideal. Not too much torque as thats what is going to prove a problem.
Also remember no slipper on a Maxxum.
