Hey guys, just wondering if anyone is having similar problems. Got the SV setup fairly well handles very nicely however I can't seem to clear the double double section of our track like I could with the losi. I am using the same esc, motor combo as before. Same gear ratio....everything is the same but the car.
I have tried everything from cranking down the slipper and diff and loosening.
I have cranked all the punch settings all the way up and still I am having to go full throttle over a 1/4 throttle jump.
Long story short it could be the diff...How loud are you diffs mine sounds like it is slipping but it isn't.....
At a loss as what it could be ....Been doing this hobby for a long time and it has most of the guys at the track stumped...
Thanks

so your car is low on punch?
I assume you have checked the gearing is correct as I think the SV is a different internal ratio to the Losi.
Is your slipper slipping or is it too tight and therefore you are getting wheelspin and not traction? YOu say it could be your diff - mine is silent in operation so if yours is making a noise may be it is slipping or there is another problem with it somewhere, maybe not built quite right?
I know it's no help to you, but my Cougar is as punchy as any car I have driven - infact it likes to drive any straight section on it's back wheels....

Had a similar experience yesterday as you. Used to clear the jumps easily with the same car though. A cougar Sv, but for some reason I just could not get the distance I needed???? Truth be told, we have amazingly high traction and worn out minipins works well on it.....except for the sv. Can clear the corners without spinning and so on. Very nice feeling with worn tyres but as as I tested and tested to crank the slipper the car just would not clear as it used to. The diff is perfect so no problem there....
So what was it?? Simple, I must run on somewhat fresh tyres and no problems. AND, our track is very temperature sensitive. Very different traction depending.
Not sure this helps you but I was surprised that the car could spin free on our very high traction track with the slipper cranked down but I learned something new anyway. loosened the slipper again and put new tyres on and then it feelt like any other day.
BTW, My Cougar can fly:thumbsup:

try taking out a little anti-squat. 1mm spacer should give alot more traction. don't run too much rear toe in, this car doesn't react to settings like a rear mount motor.
