Hi guys,

So far I think we have had great 1st half of the summer outdoor series at our new venue. We've had around 30 drivers at each club meeting and I can't remember it raining at all, which is unheard of! Hopefully you agree that the new venue has been a success. The beer's good too!

To let you know, when we return indoors (1st Friday in September) we plan to purchase a new carpet to improve the level of grip, particularly for the tourers & Minis. As a result, however, we will need to enfore the "no sharp protrusions" rule to protect the carpet from damage. This means that off road shock mounting bolts, protruding body posts that have not been smoothed/rounded and loose chassis screws (Shambles members please take note!) will need to be covered. You will not be allowed to race if you have not done this.

I hope you understand why we need to enforce this rule (the carpet will cost us in excess of £900) and will modify your cars as necessary.

NB -Anthony, you'll probably be OK because your chassis screws have all fallen out before you start racing anyway.

Why don't the tourers and minis improve their grip levels by fitting mini pins, and some big shocks? Maybe a nice big rear wing too  hey they cud even throw in a few jumps then too.......

Can I have the 900quid to try and get my lrp blast to last a whole regional?

(or more jumps so I can score more tries? We could try the basket ball hoops when we go back indoors! )

Idea!
Why dont we carpet the surface of the ramps with the old carpet.
Some spray adhesive would do it.

Yeah that is a good idea from Mr Brown.

Best reply so far has to go to Anthony though. I think he's probably spent enough on spares to have bought a Fandango in the first place!
