And the worst thing....you guys will still gladly pay these kinda OTT prices!!
TD could charge £600 for a DEX410 and I bet people would still buy it in massive numbers...

Yes! I would! I have used my DEX410 for the first time today and got my best result yet! I am an F5 driver (first year doing off road) and usually I would qualify in the 'E' or 'F' final, but today I qualified in the top of the 'B' :) and if it hadn't have stopped working due to an electrical problem in the first round I would have been 7th in the 'A'
Proof, that the 'VERY' reasonably priced Durango gets you results!
The best days racing i've had so far
Could finally be passing on the VAT rise?

I think they mean the rise back to 17.5% from the tempory 15% that was in force when the car was released and not the 20% rate coming into force in January

Team Durango € and £ price changes from Monday 12th July, 2010 (http://www.team-durango.com/blog/?p=1142)

Since the launch of the DEX410 in September 2009, the prices for Team Durango products have not changed.
The Euro (€) and Sterling (£) exchange rates against the US Dollar ($) have altered significantly during that time. Such is the amount of change it is now necessary for Team Durango Ltd to increase its Euro and Sterling prices in-line with current exchange rates.
Existing prices on the DEX410R, spares and clothing will be maintained for three more days. The price changes will not take effect until Monday 12th July.

This is what it said on the site which i believe is more than fair and if you ask me you are getting a car that’s great value for money compared to any other car out there! Out of the box it’s amazing without any options unlike any other car!

The car was at a lower price before january so they uplifted the price when the VAT rate went up. I don't think their website is actually displaying the revised price, I'm sure I paid that in January.
Fair play to them for actually saying the price will go up before it does, most companied will raise the price as and when they want without notification.

A five percent increase isn't bad?
Thats more than the VAt increase

Sorry Mark i was responding to a post referancing this to a VAT change, just wanted to illiustrate how this would not justify it.
As i work it out they are losing about 10cents to every pound spent now compared to when the car launched. A loss of revenue roughly of 45$ a car so i suppose they could justify larger increase if they wished. (only aproximate)
Overall many business are choosing to accept this loss at the current time in order to maintain customers, but as someone has already said many would buy this car regardless of price. Each to ther own.
