Hello All

Im in the markey for a new speedo after I cooked my lrp. Ive got a budjet of about £150.

Ill be mainly running off road 2wd on 2c lipo.

Im looking for something reliable, not too complicated but with good power for competative racing.

Ive got my eye on the speed passion lpf and mamba max pro, although its features may be abit over the top for what I need!

Losi systems seem well priced by they havent got a good reputation?

Any ideas or advice is welcome from a fairly newbie!

Cheers

liam

Go for the LPF. The software on it isn't that involved at all and the setup card makes things very straightforward. It's nice and smooth and the settings are held in a sensible range too.

i'd steer clear of anything with the word "tekin" on, unless you want meltdown?

I had a Losi for a while. It seemed good to me, but It broke suddenly for no obvious reason. After sales service was fantastic though, they sent me a brand new one within a couple of days, even though I had no receipt.

Tekin are good the diffrence is the amount of fet's in the speedo the pro has double the amount hence unlimited motor the std as a limit of 5 turn

So tekin's blow up, so do losi's which isint great if this happens during a race so speed passion perhaps..."gt 2 pro ,end of best there is"...whys this end of best their is?

What lrp/novaks are around for the £150 mark?

I did recently buy a pearl evo off ebay, as soon as i opened the box i could smell the burnt electrics..NICE!

Good point!

Is it worth paying the extra for the pro then you think?

Have a look at the 120A Xerun speedos on e b a y. They make the speedpassions, use the same programing cards and are only aorund £75-80 delivered.

You have to wait a week for them to arrive from Hong Kong. I don't know what you'd do if it went wrong (mind you speedpassion only state a 3 month warranty on the box-is that legal??), but at half the price of a SP GT pro I've gone for one and it works just like my Speed Passion one does.

I have 2 SP Gt LPF speedos and they've been really good. I had a bit of trouble when I 1st got it and Schumacher replaced it no problems. Only a sensor lead in the 2wd has let me down.

Is it just the functions that are different betwwen the LPF & the pro or is the pro punchier?
