Has anyone tried this new range from traxxas, theres stupid part of me that wants to buy a stampede purely for s**ts and giggles. They reckon 65+mph out the box!!! (3 cell lipo). are these models any cop, or should I steer well clear
fun times

There was a review in rc car action, and yes, the car does do 65. The rustler would be a better choice though, as the stampede is a rustler with the chassis above the bulkheads. Th trannys have all steel gears,
and i think they might have cvd's. Worthtwhile, but it's still a rusty, steers horrible, jumps bad, but is very durable and overweight.

You'd be better off with a novak system. Have you heard about their new sport system? They have motors equivalent to a stock motor, a 19 turn, and a 15 turn. Pretty sweet as they're only $175, or 85 pounds. Really cheap for brushless. Now you can get 35 min. fun times with a 19 turn spec motor.(lipo of course)

not bad, but ive got novak gtb system and mamba max so wouldnt buy the sport system. The traxxas things are tempting as a toy for lunchtime bashing at work as they come as a complete package and shouldnt need much attention. As i say though only if i can get one cheap as more important bits for proper racing is always needed

Thats why i was suggesting the sport system. That and a df-03 shouldn't cost anything. The traxxas speedo uses these wierd connectors, so you either have to switch them, or buy more from traxxas. If you must buy this car, buy it from towerhobbies.

Or you can bring your racer to work.;)

yeah, got a df-03, most of its front end is held together by super glue at the moment needs a new chassis:). Building a second b4 out of spare parts at the mo so will probably use that instead, makes more sense
cheers
