1800Kv motor, 4s Li-po, what pinion?

What pinion would I need with a 1800KV motor on 4s to give standard 21 nitro speeds?

what car ? what size spur, what esc you using etc if its a nitro conversion its need to be a mod1 pinion gear . you will have to buy some and test the gearing out . temp of the motor and esc . is it a good motor or a cheap motor lol . as cheap motor dont last long

Its a cheap motor and ESC! lol. I know its Mod 1 gearing and I know you multiply the Kv with the battery voltage to get the motor rpm, so basically if the motor spins upto say 30,000rpm (roughly the same as a nitro engine) then I use the same size pinion (13T)?

I can make a heat sink for the motor if I have to.

Size and speed, we need spur gear size aswell,but yes try 13

13t maybe if you were running 5 cell but that will be undergeared for a 4 cell pack, id go more up to a 15/16t

On an RC8 with 2650kv motor i was running a 14t for 10 min finals.

I can only comment on the RC8 that i ran, i dont know what ratio's the other cars are.

i got told to use a 15t pinion gear with my 2250kv tekin motor and a 10/11 with a 2600kv will it be to fast in savage as people seem to use 1550 to 2000kv motor as its a big truck over 8.5kg

I have a list from the flux manual, no value for 46 spur, but 45T is 17-21 pinion and 47T is 15-21 pinion.
That's for the neu/flux tork 2200kv

You can use google to find the manual and they should have values for 2650kv on 4s.

thanks mate. its for a copy of the savage nanda rator shumacher sell the parts etc. i need to know if anybody as used one of these car. and will it fit a mamba monster motor in the truck? just got a smaller can 1500kv motor for the heavy truck what pinion gear will i need with a 1500kv and 46t spur gear and 4s lipo battery

On that motor I found you need to run 1 maybe 2 teeth higher than what ever your nitro ran.

1800 go 1 tooth higher than your "usual" nitro pinion and the 2045 go 1 tooth lower than your "usual" nitro pinion.
