F grades are easy enough, your graded on your regional performance from the previous year. Anything upto F2 for the top few.

In bigger regions there are many more entrants making top F grades harder to achieve, but in Wales with our low turnout the higher grades are more easily reached.

F1 status is only achieved by entering and getting top results at the nationals as I understand it.

If you haven't completed a years regionals then your an F5 automatically.

In theory the end of season events are for the best drivers from your region. But since the welsh contingent is pretty small then it'd be relatively easy to get an entry. Unless we get a big entry, at which point our rep should choose the best drivers from all the applications.

It's either best 10 or best 15 from each region from memory, the brca site and application forms tell you the details.

I'm hoping to do one of the 2 events, not sure which yet, but thinking F2's at Coventry at the mo!

Ok..Clear as mud!!..No seriously i've got it now:blush: Myself and O will be at Cov,O in the juniors and if me, i get an entry the veterans:woot: Not sure about silverstone as we have entries to the big weekender already.

Wouldnt mind having a go at one of these, im thinking the Silverstone one would be more my standard i.e. no one better than F3.. plus as im doing the Silverstone Big weekender i'd know the track better... but the Coventry one is on my old turf... decisions decisons

Just to clear a few things up...

Anyone who is not an F1 can do the F2's at Coventry and/or the F3/4/5's at Silverstone (the only F1's in Wales are Griff and me)

Anyone of any grade who is over 40 can do the Veterans at Coventry.

Anyone of any grade who is under 16 can do the Juniors at Coventry.

So anyone who races in Wales except Griff and me can do both or either of the meetings.

If your a BRCA member then you will be an F5, meaning you could try to get into the Silverstone meeting.

Yes because where you finish this year will give next years grading.

Tom, send an entry to craig for both. you may get a space if wales is allocated enough. Gota be worth a shot:thumbsup:

DCM

I think that all regions get 10 spaces, then the rest is allocated on percentages.

Tom, you can enter either f2's or f3,4,5's...the grades refer the highest grade that can apply, not the lowest. The idea is that the best drivers from the region get picked to race. And in the bigger attended regions it's much tougher to get in.

But...in wales last year though we didn't get enough entry's to need to worry, so everyone who applied got in!!! I was an F5 and raced at the F2's  Got well and truely beaten...but that's hardly the point...was awesome fun weekend!!!

Both do have limited entries though, so if we get more entry applications this year than there are places then the top graded drivers will should picked for the places.

When would we know if we've got a succesful aplication then Andy ?

For example if i didn't get into the F2's i'd try to do the F3's at Silverstone instead and would need to get an entry in for than one before the deadline.

how many entries and spaces have wales got for the f2's this year Craig?

Body Paint
09-08-2010, 08:58 PM
I have been told that F2's from any region will be given preferential entry.

IF there are any spaces left they will be filled up with lower grades from each region.
