being in the business of rolling out some fairly sophisticated web sites, I find it somewhat scarey that someting as vanilla as the BRCA website needs training on it...these things are supposed to be intuitive... :)

It's a big thing they're putting together though, and although it might be ready right now (was re-reading circuit chatter the other night) they want to be some extensive testing before releasing it on the world. I wouldn't expect anything this side of the AGM in that case.

I'm sure it'll be ACE
They refused to link to oOple though - despite linking to every other website out there. I think the BRCA don't like me. So it'll probably suck.

That's 'cos this is just a 'stupid internet forum'.
I think it's good for them not to link here, they need to be the 'establishment' with the real authority, oOple can be the 'anti-establishment', a bit like in 'Citizen Smith'.

Hey, Mark, you can take it that no one who posts a derogatory comment on here has taken one millisecond to check their facts!! :D :D
I hope that people will appreciate what the BRCA are trying to do in providing a good service to its members, but I suspect that people on here will just rubbish it of it's not perfect. That's not big, and it's not clever - and it's certainly not anti-establishment.
Does anyone have any proof it is not linked to Oople, and has anyone bothered to ask if it could be? Here's hoping...!
***** rumour has it that hardisty claimed oople was "the competition"

Just a stab in the dark here, but as this is Jimmy's website and he has said they (BRCA) have refused to put a link to oOple, how much more proof would you need?

I'm more of an on-roader, so racechat should suit me more, but I'm on here more. If oople isn't linked then what are they playing at?

The last time I checked the BRCA is run by members for members and the good of the hobby. If we all email the likes of Jim Spencer and Chris Hardisty saying oople is a good site for the public to look at, surely they must comply and link it?
If not, raise it at the BRCA AGM. I'm sure if enough loyal oople members make the trip to the meeting it'll get passed in a heart beat, even if everyone else there votes no!
Just my 2p
To be fair, on the BRCA, they can't be seen to favour one from another, so they either link them all or none, as for RaceChat, maybe they just didn't like how it run, we don't know.
As for the BRCA being run by member for members, to a point, this is true, but a majority of it's members probably don't even care how it is run, as long as their club isn't affected.

Unless they don't want to link to another forum, because there is going to be one on the BRCA site....

The new BRCA is very nice. Has been in development for sometime now and has a very good team behind its development.
Itll be a good thing for all IMO :)
