Get some bits ordered from JE Spares?

What diff lube and thrust race grease are you using?

What size are the diff balls?

hi mike ...i think it was something to do with my build ...any way i did what the kit instructions said and when i came to service it [after it messing around on sunday] the thrust bearings looked like w, well there was only 3 left the rest were disintergrating,n there the smallest ive seen ...ive ordered another complete kit ..this time ill make sure the diff is correct and ill have enough spares for a complete new car ...just have to wait till it arrives ..just may not make this sundays racing is all ..but im hoping to

Err, no they don't, they're all as bad as each other. Ahh, but you're probably using steel balls? Yes, they last longer, but aren't as smooth, ceramic balls are the only option in my opinion!

Can you get ceramics for the madrat? I am surprised quite a few manufacturers don't, particularly the expensive ones!

I *think* Mad Rat balls are 3/32 and 1/16, ie the usual AE / Kyosho size... But will have to confirm that...

The main mad rat diff balls are 3/32 (2.37mm) - so a common ceramic size.

I've got the 5 main sizes of ceramic balls on the way: 3mm, 2.5mm, 3/32, 5/64, 1/16. Packs of 12 for £7 each.

The mad rat thrust is caged though, so not sure on size of balls, but if one is measured you'll probably find it's possible to use loose (ceramic) balls instead - and probably more balls too than a cage will allow. A pain to build loose ball thrusts though!

Ah it's the 2.37mm that threw me. Yup 3/32 is nice and common :)

Nice one Simon :)
