Hehe, cheers... 4 hours it took to get those photos. 2 trips to a quarry over 2 days. Awesome venue for photos though, if you can avoid the MX bikes!

Yes they look like they are straight out of a mag, nice balance of high shutter speed to freeze the action, but just right to get some blurr on the tyres to give the feel of speed nice job.
sod the BX and the X-5 get the Dark Impact done... just got my CVD's and alloy shocks... slipper clutch won't be long either.

Which cvd's you got mate?
is it the official slipper youre getting ?
I am using DF02 CVD's as they seem to fit (genuine Tamiya ones not 3Racing ones), and yeah, the official Tamiya slipper although there is a guy in Autralia going to make a layshaft to run a B4 slipper, but I don't think you can get a B4 spur gear small enough.

Wheres the slipper coming from ? Think I will keep mine stock tho, cant afford to upgrade it.
not sure it is on the list of soon to be released parts... funniest thing, you can't even get the DI in the UK yet... heehee might have to be an order from RC-Champs again,

It's such a good idea that I will put it on my list of things to do.
Jimmy....want to sell your Dark Impact?
jimmy
23-04-2006, 12:20 AM
Quite likely mate, in a few weeks tho if you can wait that long, not even opened the baggies yet!
I have built, managed to fit in spraying it, run it and broke it and they aren't even in the UK yet... heehee...
Think this could easily be an Atomic Carbon project on some bits for this Jim... so maybe don't sell it to soon...

No problem steve ;) btw are you sending the sheet across for the tourer ? or did you want me to send it all back for the time being ?
jimmy
23-04-2006, 12:44 PM
SOLD to a secret buyer!
re: impact, atomic, really ?? I saw the front tower and thought it would be impossible, from memory isnt the rear one off set also ?
but, sounds very interesting :)
DOH!!!... pm me your adress again Jon.
The front tower could be awkward but you could always 'cut down' the front tower as there are four securing holes in the tower to attach a carbon peice, the rear tower, although offset, if you have an upright one, the wishbones have got the exact same attaching points on the rear for the shocks so that would work.
Just a matter of working out if a carbon chassis could be made..
