Now about to buy a new CAT SX2 and at last I'm going brushless,

Will be running a 10.5T motor indoors & just after a bit of advise on what speedo, not necessarily after the most exspensive just something adequate,
so far Ive been looking at the speed passion gt 2.0
speed passion gt pro 2.1
lrp spx stockspec 80710
any of these or something else?
and do I need sensored on sensorless?

And finally what make of motor? a couple of people ive spoke to have said go for a GM?

Any advise much appreciated. Cheers :)

Ive recently bought a Hobbywing 60amp Version 2 and it it pretty much identical to the Speedpassion 2.0 with all the same options on the programmer.
So you have the option of running the turbo firmware if you need it (you might do on a big indoor track and 4WD)
The hobbywing is very good value (£47) and im very happy with the performance.
They also do a 120amp version which is the same as the speedpassion 2.1, I think they are about £70.

You will want a sensored ESC as most high quality motors are sensored.
Having a stock spec speedo may be helpfull if you are limited to a 10.5 as you can get a substantial ammount of extra power from the timing advance, I think GM Tekin and speedpassion/hobbywing all offer this option.
On a smaller track this may be unnecicary.

As for motors I think its mostly down to personal preference.

Anybody know if the lrp spx comp stock spec is any good? I know its been replaced by the sxx, but ive been offered one of the above hardly used, would it be ok with a 10.5 motor??
