Hi,

This is just a quick heads up,

A1 Racing Club is running a Short Course Truck meeting on Sunday 26th September at our outdoor astroturf track.

Saturday 25th September will be open practice for those wishing to play with set ups ready for the meeting and weekly tuesday night club meetings are available for those wanting serious practice time!

All are invited and welcome to come along and race.

We are based alongside the A1 near Grantham in Lincolnshire, so fairly central in the UK.

Sponsors, prizes and online booking will be announced and available very shortly, just wanted to get word out asap.

1/10th 2wd/4wd buggies will also be welcome.

I will keep you posted as details are confirmed.

Up to date venue and action pictures will be available shortly too, although the track is being constantly updated to add sections and improve jumps etc.

For those wondering on tyre choices... i have run Strike, SC10 and Slash trucks on kit tyres around the track and all have plenty of grip on the Astroturf, none with obvious advantage IMO.

I'm hoping the surface will give a neutral grip level for standard SCT tyres to keep running costs down for drivers, although fastrax spikes will probably give ultimate grip (and ultimate grip roll) maybe best to leave rules as kit available tyres only?

Any questions or suggestions on format, rules etc then please use this thread to discuss and i'll answer asap.

Thanks for reading,

Mark.

Hi Chris

Just checked and all seems to be working ok, but PayPal does seem slow to load tonight.

I have got your entry so don't worry. Just pay on the day if you want.

Just quick note to say a big thank you to all the drivers that raced on Sunday.

It was a cracking days racing with some close fought battles and plenty of happy banter on and off the rostrum.

We managed to beat the weather with only very light sprinkling of rain early in the morning.

Pics from the day can be found here (http://www.a1racingclub.com/gallery/20100926/short-course-carnage-2010!/)

A fulll set of results will be posted shortly on the A1 Racing Club (http://www.a1racingclub.com) site.

Cheers
