hey lads i have a honda sp2 and was looking into getting a set of cans for it but i was just wondering if i would have to get a power commander for it cheers:thumbsup:

I doubt you would have to get a pcomm for end cans. TBH you'll only get getting afew extra horses anyways (obviously you'll get loads more sound from it though lol).

If you were to go all the way from the cans to the downpipes then yeah Id definately recommend a pcomm and a dyno but you should be fine as is.

The SP2 is a lush bike for sure though, and very much over looked here in the UK :(

My lad has the SP1 and we change the carbon cans back to stock only for the mot. Its never had to use a power commander and still goes like a bullet with or without. Between the cans we dont notice that much performance difference to be honest. The noise is something else though.

cheers thats grand i was looking at a full system but it might be a bit to dear.i think the bike gets overlooked alot every where,when i tell people i have one they go "never heard of one of them" i know its not as popular as the fireblade but she sounds better and handle's like a dream:thumbsup::thumbsup:

carbon cans look great on the sp,s Cars may not see bikes very well but they hear my lads from miles away. Riding behind him you get hit by a pressure wave if you get too close. You can actually feel your body vibrate from the sound waves.

Defo wont need powercommander, unless you fit a full race system, keep to the standard air filter too! Resist the K&N route:thumbsup:
