Durango being the new & coolest kid on the block, I have a proposal...

When I assembled my outdoors grill this summer, I noticed this manufacturer had put all the small parts into this genious card boards / plastic from which you could easily just push out the screws, shims etc. when you need them in the build process. Much neater than all those plastic bags!

Kyosho used to to that in the 80's with chassis parts, shocks, dont know if they do that today, havent built a kyosho kit for 3 years, didnt on that kit.

Tamiya did that for many many years. In 2006 i believe they released a Commemorative Model of their first RC model, the 934 Porsche Vailliant. There they used a modern version of the "Blister Packs".
The Egress for example has one of the most beautiful blister packs ever released. They show all the carbon and aluminium Tamiya used at that time for their High spec model.

Great, but did they also have the "perforated" cardboard in the back? So you can easily push out the parts?

Only downside I see it that it takes way more space >> much larger kit box...

No, there was no perforated cardboard in the back. You had to carefully cut the blisters to let the whole box remain undamaged. I wouldnīt see it as a downside if the boxes are bigger, just letīs you think you bought something veeerry big
