Hello

In next month im going to buy a mad rat (from modelsport) but i only have one brushless set and i use it in my slash. Ive heard good things about the ezrun systems but how does it run in a mad rat? What would be best 5.5t or 8.5t? Im gonna be using a 2s lipo and i want it to go about 40mph or something like that. Im probably not going to race with it since there is no track near me

Is the losi xcelorin or a mtroniks g2 pro alot better than the ezrun?

Also has anyone tried the ansmann w5 (http://modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=ShowSpecification&ItemID=36914) 2.4ghz system? I dont need alot of features im just tired of breaking the antenna on the receiver.

Even the small diameter EZrun 9turn is fast. The 8.5 is a full size motor and I guess a fair bit quicker. The 5.5 I think would be too much motor. I wouldn't be surprised if my Stadium truck makes 40 mph with only a 13.5 turn, at least it would be very close to it

The ansmann system will be good enough for the use, like every brand 2.4ghz cheap system (like LRP, futaba, T2M...)

The ezrun combo is cheap and works very good (I sell one, 60A esc and a 8.5T motor, but no capacitor and one bearing on the motor to change) and a 8.5T would be enough to make the car speedy but with a good handling.
Another way to get more speed is to change the pinion motor gear.

You can check my blog for more information about the car ;)

Okay thank you kedal! Ive seen your videos on youtube. It looks very fast with the ezrun. Why did you buy the tekin?

Because I now use a sensored motor and the ezrun esc is sensorless.
And I found a tekin RS quite cheap on ebay :)

Okay so can you feel a huge difference?

Huge, no. But the motor go easely to max rpm with the tekin, with the ezrun, the sensored motor has a little cogging to max rpm.

The setting of the tekin is also better, with the current limit for example. I dont use the hotwire because I dont have a PC.

Okay i think i will go for the ezrun and hope its fast enough.

But you dont have a computer??

If you get the 8.5 ezrun it will be for sure fast enough for a 2wd buggy :), they are not that easy to drive so more power than that usually means going slower

Kedal: ahh okay :)
