its not the cells mate, they just provide electricity. Does your esc need setting up to run Brushed/Brushless or will it detect it all by itself?
Check your wiring between your esc and motor.

Is it also because the brushless ESC is not man enough to power your servo causing interference.?

ive checked all that n just tried it again ...i put my brushed back in and a new servo ...runs fine[from what i can tell ...but its a 8 single in a durango ...im driving by the seat of my pants lol
its a speedo that will only run a brushless [came with it]so id presume its already set up n there are no buttons to set it up

it could be because of voltage drop when high current is being drawn ,nimh cells dont tend to hold thier voltage to well when under load but should be fine with lipo, if you want to run with nimh though you can always plug a capacitor into a spare port on the receiver, these are pretty cheap from somewhere like maplins or RS about £1 i think i have used one before, i used a 16v one and as many micro farrel thingys as i could get ,solved my issues with nimh packs and i always use one in my 1/8th now too as i have 2 20kg servos in it and sometimes get this issue when braking hard and turning on a grippy surface like astro
