I'm in Chile, I'm OK, and I'm safe.

We landed at around 7am local time (12 noon UK time) and I'm now sat in a hostel in Santiago where I'll be staying tonight before moving to my home for the year tomorrow.

I'm not actually in the area I'll be staying / living in yet. We're almost in the city centre here. One of the group had an unfortunate bag slashing / purse snatching incident in the centre about 2 hours ago. 2 of are still in Madrid, and another 1 has no baggage... whoops!

It was FREEZING this morning (about 2C) but now its up to around 24C, and this is meant to be Winter / early Spring!
