We've all just returned from a long competitive weekend away at the BRCA Junior/Veteran and British Formula 2 Championships and what can I say?
As well as the individual Championships being fought for in four different categories over the two different classes there are also Regional Championships being contested, separately in the U13/16/Veteran groups and the BF2C's and guess what? In the BRCA 2010 U13/U16/Veteran Regional Championship.....
WE WON!!!
There were many notable preformances over the weekend and I'm sure that I'll be able to identify more my when I see the full breakdown of points from the organisers but off the top of my head at this late hour I can think off:
Ollie Crewe taking a podium place in the U13 2WD class.
Robbie Langdon & Jon Barnes joining Ollie in the U13 A Final.
Some brilliant performances by the SIX U13's we took to the event, a third of the entry!
THREE of our U16's making it into the 2WD A Final with Will Johnson finishing the best overall in fourth, I think!
MCDC having a day long battle and eventually finishing third in the Veteran 2WD class.
Oh and by no means least of all, DAVID POULTER winning the 2WD BF2C event, with two simply stunning drives in the last two legs of the A Final!
FOUR of our U13's making it into the 4WD U13 A Final, think Robbie Langdon was our best finisher in Fourth overall.
THREE of our U16's making it into the 4WD A Final.
Both MCDC and myself (!) making it into the 4WD Veteran Final, DC eventually finishing fourth.
Two South East drivers making it into the 4WD BF2C A Final, David Orbell qualified second and David Poulter put it in their with another brilliant drive in the last round of qualifying.
Think we finished a creditable fourth overall in the BF2C Regional Championship.
There are probably so many more that I missed but here's a huge thanks to ALL involved it was a MASSIVE team effort with support from families, friends and supporters alike.
Oh and by the way did I happen to mention?
WE WON!!!
NB If anybody would like to see the trophy Mr. Moon has it and I'm sure will be taking it to FORCC this week to show of to all!
