A1 Racing Club have a big Short Course race planned for later this month in the UK - their 'Short Course Carnage' meeting will take place on the 26th September, with open practice available on Saturday the 25th for those dedicated enough. Event Format
Saturday 25th September
1pm to 4pm, open practice.
Sunday 26th September
Gates open 8am
Book in from 8.30am to 9.30am (track open for practice)
Drivers Briefing 9.45am
Racing starts 10am
Entry
Entry online with credit/debit card or PayPal £6.00 per class
Entry on the day £ 10.00 per class
Race Format
4/5 rounds of heats dependent on driver numbers.
Heats and finals will be a grid start. Your grid position for the first round will be determined by your ability when booking in.
Grid position for subsequent rounds will be determined as per BRCA 10th off road rules.
10 Drivers per heat maximum.
All heats and finals will be five minutes in length.
2 leg finals.
Rules
Not many! The emphasis will be on fun and relaxed racing.
1/10th Electric Short Course Trucks only. No converted 1/8th buggies.
Batteries will be limited to 7.2v or 8.4v Nimh or 2 cell Lipo packs.
Wheels and tyres must be original 1/10th Short Course sizes not converted 1/8th buggy wheels.
All trucks must use Short Course body shells with minimum cut outs, and be a true representation of the full size vehicle.
As is the spirit of the class body contact between trucks is positively encouraged but dangerous racing will be penalised.
Timing
Timing will be with BBK and AMBrc3 equipment, club handout transponders will be available but the use of Personal Transponders will speed the meeting up.
Prizes
Prizes and raffle will be confirmed near the date.

A1 Racing Club, Gonerby Moor, Grantham. Lincolnshire.
The postcode for your SAT NAV is NG32 2AB, the track will be signposted from the road.
The Track:
Shortened version of our 1/8th Astroturf nitro track, with a lap length of 180m, including table tops, double jumps and multi-surface sections.
Facilities:
Male and female toilets are available on site.
A hot food van will be with us from 8am Sunday.
NO mains electricity.
NO mains running water.
