This Bulldog has been a real work in progress but I finaly have it where I am happy.
The diff's have been modded, a custom steering rack has been added, ball raced belt tensioners, universal drive shafts up front, Marui chrome dog bones in the rear, Kyosho Optima hubs all round, fully ballraced, YOU-G dampers with PIRATE M1 soft coils, custom machined wheel adapters to fit Yokomo spoked rims, 3750KV brushless system and a few other bits and bobs.

I test drove it on the road out front of my place and even with high grip and the car making some great top speeds there is none of the usual belt cracking (slipping) sounds that it made previously- not even under brakes. This car is seriously fast now and seems kinda scary considering its age and design.

Im confident this car will do well on the race track now (if only I could drive well enough)

I have had 3 of these Bulldogs on the go at once. Here's my completely stock chassis.

Just to compare the modded car with the stock one.

Beautiful work man.
They look a little like the old Vanning.

Crikey, haven't seen one of these in ages. A friend had one when they were new back in around 1987. It was a real handful to drive with the 4 wheel Steering and I seem to remember the air shocks were more like springs!
I take it you've disconnected the 4WS?

Cars look great though

Yeah the standard car is not really good for the track, too much slop. The drive train is good enough for modern stock motors but thats about the limmit for the diffs I think.
I lock the rear steering out on my cars though.
