Hi all,

The D.M.C.C. will be having its annual general meeting in Taney Parish Hall on Thursday October 7th at a time to be annouced (7.30 I expect).
This is not a race meeting :( - The AGM is a very important part of the club's growth as it is when all the members get together and make a plan for the year ahead and vote in a committee to carry out the plan.

If you have an idea for the club, no matter how big or small (whether you're proposing a change to the rules, venue, membership fee etc) you need to get it down on paper now and in with either Dave, Mick B, or Ken asap - so that it can be studied before the meetng.

Typical subjects that will be covered in the meeting are as follows; (a formal list of subjects will be published in the meeting agenda once all ideas have been received)

Current Chairman's report
Current Treasurer's report
Proposal to changes in club constitution, if any
Proposals of new committee positions, if any
Definition of the duties of all committee members
Proposal of all committee members
Propasal of new rules for 2010/2011 season
Proposal of club 5 year plan including definition of stages
Proposal of membership fee for 2011
Any other business

To vote at the meeting, you must be a fully paid up DMCC Member
All subjects must be proposed, seconded and put to the vote to be adopted

Hi all,

Just to kick things off... I've submitted first drafts of a proposed Rule Book and Club Constitution to the trustees of the club via Dave Bolger.

Both documents need some fine tuning before they'll be ready for acceptance/rejection by the AGM - but the bare bones are there.

Once I get some feed back from the trustees, I'll make a final draft and have a few copies for people to look over a week or two before the AGM.

Hi all,

The trustees have been back and a draft copy of the rules are now up under the RULE BOOK button on the club website.

If these rules are voted in and adopted at the AGM, changes can be proposed straight after at the sdame meeting.

Please make youself familiar with them :)

AGM is on THURSDAY OCTOBER 7th in TANEY PARISH HALL, DUNDRUM, DUBLIN 14

Championship prizes for 2010 outdoor season will be awarded at the meeting.
