Hi all,

Silverstone Remote Controlled Model Car Club (SRCMCC) will be hosting a 2wd regional event on May 14th at their new off road track in Silverstone village, Northants. They will also be catering for a 4wd open class and all electric trucks will be welcome.

The track is primarily grass with a naturally undulating surface that is truly off-road and challenging. This is Silverstone's first outdoor meeting for a number of years and so your support would be greatly appreciated.

John at Model Images has confirmed that he will be attending to cater for all your tyre and spares needs on the day and Darren at DMS has said that he may attend depending on his circumstances. There will be hot food and drinks (including a bar) available trackside at very reasonable prices.

Gates will open at 7.00am and booking in will begin at 8.15 and practice will follow this. The meeting is scheduled to be under way by 10.00am with four rounds of qualifying and finals (3 legged A final).

Trophies for first in each final plus TQ and top under 13 and top under 16.

Entries will be taken on the day but booking in using the regional entry form that can be downloaded from the Stotfold web site at www.stotfoldmcc.co.uk (http://www.stotfoldmcc.co.uk/) is preferred or you can e-mail me with your details at alecspringer63@hotmail.com (alecspringer63@hotmail.com) (pre-booking will cost £8 that can be paid on the day but if you book in on the day without pre-booking the cost will be £12).

This is an ideal opportunity to try your grass set-ups before the nationals on the green stuff take place later in the year.

Details of how to get to the track are available from the SRCMCC web site at www.srcmcc.com/ (http://www.srcmcc.com/)

Come and race on a "proper" off-road track and GET THEM ENTRIES IN LADS

See you there
Alec
