i have a converted 4wd nitro i run in the winter as our track is outdoors,
using an ezrun 5.5t but this is going to be far too hot for the x pro i intend to use for next summers racing

so what turn motor will be best for 2wd?

i was thinking 8.5 as our track is neither open or tight or would a 7.5 be better?

thanks mike

A 5.5 may be a little too hot, even on an open track. Anything between a 6.5 and 8.5 should be good in a 2wd buggy. If you go for a 7.5 I might be able to help you out:

If it's too fast, the software allows you to turn down the throttle limit.

I would say a 7.5 if you are relatively good on the sticks

my right index finger is really heavy so the 8.5 would prob be best what sort of gearing range should i be looking at?

I ran an 8.5 INIX Racing system in mine at the weekend (geared 24/80), limited to 80% throttle and it seemed pretty nippy to me. Fairly tight track with a good front straight, was as quick as most other 2wd's on the day.

I am running a 24 on a 6.5. LOL I think you are all undergeared. You have to remember that you are running LiPo's also which will give you more torque and will be able to pull more.

Are you not finding that it is really hard to drive in slippy conditions? I might drop it a tooth if the track is tight and twisty.
