Whats the best setup for a beginner at Bury metro? I have a Brushless B4 which is currently setup as the Neil Crag set up on CML.

im a beginer and ive recently gone to 30wt all round silver springs on back Blues at front. My brushless is nosram storm i run that with a 20t pinion. i have 30g in back of car. usual ride hieghts and camber and stuff.

And usually all ball ends and bump steer washers etc etc are ok in kit instruction settings, Best bet is have a look at a few other cars tomorrow.

I dialed the car in exactly as the Neil Crag setup on CML, but now thinking about it he's a great racer and I'm not. Thinking I might need a setup thats more stable & safe?

Not sure about neils car, but shocks inboard all round on the towers and the wishbones.
If you want it to be safe I'd run it without any anti squat, 40wt and blue springs front and probably 30wt and silver rear.
like that it should be a little understeery and shouldnt grip roll as much


mind you, if its wet then you might need it different :rolleyes:

neils setup will be to aggressive for you
check my downloads section 6-7 good setup sheets in there

sefton if jimmys reccomended set up dosent work see one of the lads racing, every one is always willing to help. you can also see me if your stuck, ill be running the teal and white losi, no doubt racing it upside down :cool:

What I have started to do is start off with everything set to the middleish then change things one at a time. Have been racing for a long will now but have been lazy started to think about these things now so if I can help in any way just ask may not be able to help. Neil is a world champ but every driver is different if a set up works for him doesnt mean it will work for you and when you find your setup it probably wont work for him but it is a good starting point.

Spencer has a valid point, the same setup doesn't always suit two drivers.
Me and Jimmy are fairly evenly matched most days, but I think his car is really "wish washy" and doesn't easily go where its pointed. On the flip side Jimmy usually hates my car saying its got way too much steering.
basically what I'm saying is try the car, if it feels OK stick with it, if its not to your liking come and ask someone for advice:)
