SPX & X12 6.5?

Just wanted some advice - I'm running a LRP Stock spec SPX with heatsink and a LRP X12 6.5T. I'll be using the LRP 5000mah 50C saddles too. I'm not too sure where to start with the gearing and profiles. I'm using the stock spur gear.

I'm looking at running at Taplow (indoor on carpet). Could anyone give me a starting point?

Also, I'm a bit unsure on what profile to use on the ESC. I've always used Tekin... what would you guys recommend?

many people seem to run 6.5 motors on 21-23 pinions.

ive heared the x12 motors run hot so might want to fit a fan or get some good air flow ;)

My Tekin 6,5T goes with 21T.
No idea about the LRP, if there is something special, because that is not (and will never be) my brand.

Don't think it will make too much difference Steve. To be honest I'm not the biggest fan of LRP either but both the ESC and motor were cheap at the time.

I'll give a 21T a go. I think I have a fan I can fit too. Thanks for the help.

I've been running a speed passion 6.5 with an LRP sxx on a 23t pinion and a 21t on a 5.5 the x12 motors get hot anyway and i think a 21t maybe alittle under geared and i've not used a fan on the speedo all year and it's been fine
