Does anyone have any experience with the Tresrey (Japan) products? I have a 410 see they have quite a few items for the buggy.... I am highly interested in the brass chassis weight & aluminum servo saver. I live across the pond (California, USA) and they have no dealer network in the states. Looking for any input before I crack open the wallet and order a couple things.

Regards!
Richard

I have been running the Tresrey rear shaft for a month and find no issues with it , quality is second to none.

I purchased the part from m2d-shop in France.

The prices are very reasonable.

Just wanted to order servo saver from m2d, part is 13.50 euro, postage from france to UK 19.80 euro! Bit steep so didnt bother ordering it.

Is there anywhere else you can order from that doesnt pull your pants down on the postage?

Try http://www.holland-rcracing.ch/index.php?id=2

They are the Swiss distributor for Tresrey and others. I haven“t completed the deal yet so can“t say if they“re reliable, but the communication seems ok. Also they are near the Austria border that“s why they can go over the border and ship it with the Austria post. Shouldn“t cause trouble with customs then.
Maybe worth a try?

My Tresrey servo arm just came today. Looks very nice.. very light too.. Said 1.260 Yen on it.. which is about £9.50...

Shame it cost £28! shipped.. but cant find it apart from 1 or 2 places..

But hey hoo.. will be fitting this later!

Shipping was pritty fast from M2D specially with this poor weather recently!
Taking about 6 days

Wish I'd look more at your car for these parts. Recommend them then? I enjoyed my Durango today until the driveshaft pin moved.

Yeah Its a must tbh.. in my book.. its not cheap.. but solves the issue... It makes the servo slightly more venerable.. but yeah highly recommend it. Would have replaced 1 maybe 2 today like Tony if I didn't have one.. !

Yeah looked like you were going well, really enjoyed mine! Handles a dream compared to my old B44 a lot more stable

Think I'll order the servo saver bit for Petit then.

Hmm, ordered 2 of them from M2d as well. 19.50 Euros in shipping is twice of what negativo offers. I will check the envelope when it arrives. If there is profit in shipping as well I think it will be spread like the wind... :)

I've also had no problem with them, quick to reply to emails and fast delivery, if it wasn't for the mental postage costs I'd be using them all the time.

It seems that many Durango resellers chose to sell Tresrey products. As with Serpent and Hudy >(xray)...? Perhaps there will be a Tresray cars around soon...

Is there a technical difference in the construction of the drive shafts?
Can somebody measure the weight?

traffman
14-01-2011, 10:39 PM
I have been running a centre tresrey shaft for a few months now , and while it looks great and it nicely made with a decent weight to it , the downside is the accelerated wear .

This is obviously down to material used , however i shall run it until its really worn .

Then bung in the steel shaft!
