When was the last time it was held Martin?

Always enjoyed that meeting, well attended with a lot of guys coming up from Engerland in 1994, well run too and back then what we classed as big jumps.

Got a scan of Radio Race Car from 1993.

dave i have the very exact bit cut out of the magazine and the actuall book that was supplied at the meeting with info and drivers. 104 drivers i think that day.. i have them kept in a folder up the loft.

the tc,s were ran at cowdy till 2003 i think , then moved to dunfermline, but the hall at cowdenbeath had a bit of nostalga about it, bit of history and the atmosphere was better somehow maybe winning 2 titles there was a personal note for me to, the old faces raced back then in the early 90,s, and thats when i went along with my old man to watch the very first time. i could not tell you the last time the buggys had the indoor g.p were held, i raced the predator last back then 1996 there. i dont know if it kept going after that, derek will confirm probably.

i hope it does return and with the updated jumps, wall of death and 90deg tabletop.

i hope it happens

You won't be surprised to learn that I also have the original booklet from the 1st iGP in 1994.

I'll try and get the results from as far back as i can go, but in those days it was the old DOS version of BBK.

Anyway, just to test you, guess the winners:

1994 - David Logan
1995 - Paul Houston
1996 - Paul Mitchell
1997 - Paul Mitchell
1998 - Paul Mitchell
1999 - Not Run
2000 - Graeme Adamson
2001 - Kevin Nicolson
2002 - Martin Wallace
2003 - Martin Wallace
2004 - Martin Wallace
2005 - Mark Gilliland

I'll put up the correct names next year :)

I have some other cracking scans...............sadly of course orientated to myself for obvious reasons, so if you can bear it, I will upload some more at some point. Back in the day before internet getting a copy of the mag each month was exciting, just to see if ther was a mention or picture..............

This has got to happen, would be something to look forward to and looking at the numbers who are now running buggies, this would be a well attended meeting.

"Wheres my rose tinted specs................ "

This is so true, I must look back in the same way, as all I remember was thinking how good it was. I genuinely always thought this indoor gp was the best meeting of the year. The jumps "seemed huge" and we never really raced on anything with that variation of surface and jumps at the time. Must try and find the old vhs recordings of this meeting back in 90 and 91 to compare reality with my tinted recounts.

Is anyone going to organise a big indoor meeting?

Kenny, where can I download an entry for :)

OK, on a serious note, I'm hoping to resurrect the Off-Road iGP, just need to sort out a hall, my concern with our current hall is any damage to the floor.

You might get a few Northern Irish guests - good old days - managed a couple of A finals at the SGP over the years with buggies. Remember a sleeping policeman (made from rope) on the straight that I simply could'nt get my pred over lol.

Derek i dont want you to think that im jumping in here m8 but you could speak to John and maybe run an indoor GP at the Falkirk hall, granted its not the biggest but it is more than capable of holding a big meeting with both ends of the hall able to pit people and my dads always willing to do catering for all the racers. I'd like to hear about a big buggy meeting as soon as possible because i think, like Kenny it would be very well attended and another bonus of Falkirk is we've got the BEST OFF ROAD RACERS lol and the best OFF ROAD TRACK BUILDER.
On a serious note i hope you're able to do something and i'd gladly help in any way possible.

Actually raced a fair bit with Alan Harland when he competed in the SRCA rounds that we used to do when they were well attended, nice guy, always over comparing TRFs.
