Hi all,

I used new minipins in the Naul on Sunday and for practice and the first two rounds of qualifying they were cr*p!! I'm putting it down to the low temperature and the release agent on the tyres. They improved greatly once I had "scrubbed" them off.

Just a quick tip; if you have the chance, wash the tyres in hot soapy water, rinse them well, and dry thoroughly before glueing then up onto rims. This should help the grip level on the tyre come up more quickly.

Is there pins available to buy down there I've only spikes left here and probably not be fit to get any across with the weather in time.

I usually run minispikes on the rear and staggers on the front. What's the tyre of choice down there?

I've boxes of minispikes :D Depending on how well worn pins you can use I do have a fair few sets of used ones of those.

Minispikes are just as quick and a touch safer with a roll center change.
