Hi
Need a bit if advice at present i have a cougar sv i have just come back to electric off road from doing 10th on road i was thinking about doing 10th on road but i did really enjoy the 10th off road that i did.Where i live there is not a lot of 4wd but if i did the nationals i would want to do both days.
So what i would like to know which 4wd a durango or a cat pros and cons, what is the main difference between the 410r and the other one,how much do you have to upgrade them to put more reliabilty on them,as on the cat they are fitting steel gears etc.
Thanks

Hi,

If I was you I'd look into doing regionals before anything, and save my money. The reasons I'm saying that is that first you might not get in for the nationals at all being an F5, so you'd be much better off doing the regionals in one class and concentrate on improving your F-grading, and maybe next year get a 4WD and do the nationals.

The reason I'm saying that is simple: you have zero chance of improving your F-grading by doing the nationals. I know, I've been there before, I did pretty well in 2009 but since I didn't do enough regionals I'm still an F5. You'll save yourself a lot of money like that AND you'll have a better time racing too as the level at nationals is very high.
